On September 19 a delegation of business men and women from South Africa, led by the country’s Ambassador to Qatar, HE Faizel Moosa, has visited the premises of Al Jassra Group, in Lusail, in order to get informed in detail on how they can develop their business in Qatar.

Need to note at this point that, according to the Ambassador, “the trade volume between Qatar and South Africa has increased by 70 percent during the post-blockade period as a result of emerging market opportunities and strong bilateral relations”. The South African embassy is making efforts to further promote both South African trade and services, like tourism, among people in Qatar encouraging bilateral relations and delegations’ visit exchanges.

This visit was part of the business trip the Delegation has undertaken aiming at exploring opportunities for trade and services expansion in Doha in a number of sectors, from meat and livestock products to oil and gaz. Al Jassra Group has been selected in order to conduct a workshop on business in Qatar through Al Jassra Corporate, the group’s entity responsible in supporting foreign companies that start business in Doha. The information shared at the workshop led to a fruitful and extended dialogue between the South African delegates and the Al Jassra Corporate executives even at the time they were enjoying the cocktail reception held to honour them.
